Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join our investment team. This individual will play a critical role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing direct investment opportunities while supporting portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a background in venture capital or private equity, with a strong track record of conducting due diligence and driving deal flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal Sourcing & Relationship Building: Proactively source new investment opportunities by cultivating external relationships.
- Pipeline Management: Participate in pipeline meetings, sharing insights and market trends that shape investment decisions.
- Due Diligence & Analysis: Conduct thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis on potential investments.
- Deal Execution: Participate in negotiations, structuring, and closing of investment deals.
- Managing Analyst and Associate program: Help to direct and manage workflows for Analysts and Associates.
- Portfolio Support: Act as a valuable partner to portfolio companies, anticipating their needs and providing strategic guidance.
- Investment Committee: Prepare detailed memos and presentations that articulate investment theses for committee approval.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of investing experience in venture capital, private equity, or public markets.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degrees in science, engineering, or business preferred.
- Strong financial modeling, investment strategy, and portfolio management skills.
- Proven ability to source, evaluate, and execute investment opportunities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated, innovative, and able to work both independently and within a team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
